General
evoATPL is a UK-based ATPL theoretical knowledge provider. We offer three things student pilots use to pass their EASA and UK CAA ATPL exams: printed study books and digital eBooks covering all 13 ATPL(A) subjects, an online ATPL Question Bank with 15,000+ exam-style questions, and online instructor-led training with current ATPL instructors. You can buy any of them on their own, or combine them.
Both. Every book, question and training session is written against the current EASA ECQB and UK CAA learning objectives in parallel. Whichever authority you're sitting your exams under, the content matches the syllabus you'll be examined on. The question bank also lets you filter by authority so you only see questions relevant to your exams.
No. Books, the question bank and instructor-led training are all open to any student pilot — whether you're currently enrolled with an Approved Training Organisation, between sittings, working on re-sits, or self-studying. If you are with an ATO, your school may already give you question bank access; ask them first before buying separately.
Most students who pass first time use all three, but in different proportions. Start with the books to learn each subject from the ground up. Move to the ATPL Question Bank for exam-style practice and timed mock exams — this turns reading into pass-level recall. Add 1-to-1 or group instructor-led training if there's a specific subject (often Meteorology, General Navigation or Flight Planning) where you're consistently dropping marks, or if you're prepping for a re-sit.
ATPL Theory Books & eBooks
The content is identical — same author, same diagrams, same EASA and UK CAA syllabus coverage. The printed Study Books are physical paperbacks delivered to your door; the eBooks are instant-access digital downloads you read in the browser or on any device. Most students who fly often choose the eBook for portability; students who prefer paper-and-highlighter revision choose the printed version. Many buy both.
All 13 subjects of the EASA and UK CAA ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge syllabus: Air Law (010), Operational Procedures (070), Aircraft General Knowledge — Airframe, Systems, Powerplant, Electrics (021), Instrumentation (022), Mass and Balance (031), Aircraft Performance (032), Flight Planning and Monitoring (033), Human Performance and Limitations (040), Meteorology (050), General Navigation (061), Radio Navigation (062), Principles of Flight (081) and Communications — VFR & IFR (091/092). KSA 100 is also covered as a separate book.
Instantly. As soon as your order is confirmed you'll get a confirmation email with login details. The eBooks live in your evoATPL account and open in any modern browser on phone, tablet or laptop. There's nothing to download or install, and your reading progress syncs automatically across devices.
Yes. The content team revises the books in response to EASA ECQB and UK CAA syllabus changes, student feedback and reported exam experiences. When you buy the digital eBook you automatically get the latest version each time you log in. Printed books reflect the most recent revision at the point of dispatch.
ATPL Question Bank
Over 15,000 exam-style questions across all 13 ATPL(A) subjects, with new questions added regularly based on student feedback and EASA/UK CAA syllabus changes. Every answer comes with a full SME-written explanation — including worked solutions for calculation, chart and graph questions.
Yes — switch the question bank into Mock Exam mode and choose subject, paper length and time limit. The system builds a randomised mock that matches the real EASA or UK CAA exam format. You can sit it as many times as you like, see your score and review every wrong answer with the full SME explanation.
Your dashboard breaks accuracy down by subject, topic and learning objective and flags the weakest areas first, so you always know where to focus next. There are also filters for "unseen questions only" (fresh material) and "questions I got wrong" (drilling weak spots).
It runs in your browser on Apple, Android and Windows — iPhone, iPad, Android tablet, or Windows laptop. There's nothing to download or install, and your progress syncs across devices automatically so the revision you did on the train this morning is waiting for you at home tonight.
ATPL Online Instructor-Led Training
1-to-1 ATPL revision is just you and the instructor — every minute is spent on the topics, calculations and exam techniques you specifically need to work on. Group revision sessions are small (capped to keep everyone engaged) and follow a structured agenda across a subject, so you benefit from other students' questions as well as your own. 1-to-1 is the right call if you have specific weak areas or a fast-approaching exam; group is more cost-effective and works well if you're building general subject confidence.
All 13 EASA and UK CAA ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge subjects, plus dedicated sessions on KSA 100 preparation. Tell us which subjects or topics you want to focus on when you book and we'll match you with the right instructor.
Current and former ATPL ground instructors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with many years of teaching the EASA and UK CAA theoretical knowledge syllabus. They've worked with thousands of student pilots, know exactly where students typically lose marks, and can explain difficult subjects (Met, Gnav, POF) in the way that finally makes them click.
Yes — that's exactly what 1-to-1 ATPL revision is best for. If you've scraped a fail or know there's a subject (often Meteorology, General Navigation or Flight Planning) where you're consistently dropping marks, a couple of focused 1-to-1 hours with an instructor will move the dial faster than another full pass through a textbook. Tell us the subject and which topics caused the problem and we'll build the session around those.
